The Canon City Fire District serves approximately 35,000 people in Canon City and portions of the surrounding unincorporated Fremont County area.

Located on the edge of the Arkansas Valley approximately 40 miles west of Pueblo and less than an hour southwest of Colorado Springs, this growing combination career/volunteer fire suppression district responds to over 4,200 calls annually and operates out of three staffed stations with an operating budget of around 7 million dollars.
Our staffing includes a Fire Chief, Assistant Fire Chief, Training Chief, 48 suppression career personnel ranging from Firefighter to Battalion Chief, 20 volunteer personnel, 1 Life Safety Officer, 1 Executive Assistant,1 Administrative Assistant, and 1 Receptionist.

WHAT'S YOUR ADDRESS?

If you have an emergency in your home or business, we can't help you if we can't find you. When you call 911 to request assistance, a vital piece of information is your address. However, it is important that you have your numerical address visible so that emergency vehicles responding to your aid will be able to reach the scene in a timely manner. In most areas the numerical addresses for each building should be at least 3 inches in height and readily visible from the roadway. It is also helpful if the numbers are reflective so they're visible at night. By posting your home or business numbers you will be helping us help you without unnecessary delays.
